Wanda Koop

Wanda Koop, a Canadian artist, was born in Vancouver, Canada, on November 5, 1951, grew up in Winnipeg, and currently resides in Winnipeg. She began her art career by graduating from the University of Manitoba School of Art in 1973. Koop's art explores the intersection of technology and nature through an interdisciplinary approach that includes painting, video, and installations. Throughout her career, she has held over 50 solo exhibitions in Canada and abroad. In 2006, she was awarded the Order of Canada, and in 2016, she won the Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts.
