Santiago Parra
Santiago Parra is a contemporary artist born in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1986. He began his art education at the Universidad de los Andes and later pursued Fine Arts at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Parra is known for his large-scale, black-and-white, and highly expressive abstract paintings. His works often feature bold black lines reminiscent of calligraphy, combining spontaneous and thoughtful aesthetic elements with movement, power, gravity, and a process shaped by the artist's skill. In his works, the artist explores the expressive possibilities of abstract forms, redefining abstract structures with bold and sculptural brushstrokes. Parra's works have been exhibited in cities such as London, Bogotá, Santiago, Miami, and Lisbon, and his pieces are held in important collections like the Pérez Art Museum Miami.
