Ernesto Burgos

Ernesto Burgos was born in Santa Clara, California in 1979 and grew up in Viña del Mar, Chile. He currently lives and works in New York. He received his BFA from California College of the Arts in San Francisco in 2004 and his MFA from New York University in 2008. His practice explores the physical and illusionistic space of abstraction, constructing organic forms out of commercial materials such as cardboard, fiberglass, and resin. In recent years, he has had solo exhibitions at galleries such as Nordenhake (Stockholm, 2024), The Sunday Painter (London, 2023), and Parrasch Heijnen (Los Angeles, 2023).
