Daron Mouradian
Daron Mouradian, an Armenian painter born in Yerevan in 1961 and a graduate of the Yerevan Academy of Fine Arts, is a visionary who combines imagination with technique. He has created a unique, surreal and fantastical universe by blending the Eastern tales and mythology that nourished his childhood with the classical techniques of Renaissance masters. His canvases, adorned with circus scenes, imaginary creatures, and grotesque figures, invite the viewer into a timeless theatrical stage while subtly approaching the absurdities of the modern world with fine irony. Currently continuing his work in his studio in Yerevan, Mouradian, in this mature period of his artistic career, has brought his technical mastery to its peak, focusing on multi-figured and complex compositions. Meeting with intense interest from collectors in Europe and the Middle East, the artist presents a "fairy-tale resistance" against the changing world order in his latest exhibitions. Mouradian actively continues to produce works that expand the boundaries of the magical universe he created, reminding us of the power of imagination.
