Avery Singer
Avery Singer, born in New York in 1987, currently lives and works there. She is known for her innovative approach, combining art, technology, and traditional painting techniques. After graduating from Cooper Union in 2010, the artist created digital drawings using 3D modeling software called SketchUp and transferred them to large-scale canvases using the airbrush technique. In her works, figures created using computer-assisted airbrushing and 3D modeling software depict romanticized activities related to artistic production. While her art bears traces of Cubism and Constructivism, she reinterprets artistic references through the use of digital software. Singer's works, exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2019, are included in the collections of prestigious institutions such as the Whitney Museum, the Hammer Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In 2018, her work "Fellow Travelers, Flaming Creatures" (2013) sold for six times its estimated value at Sotheby's auction house.
