Ashley Bickerton

Ashley Bickerton is an American artist born in 1959. His art questions modern life's consumer culture, media influences, and the search for individual identity. He moved to New York in the late 1980s and was influenced by Neo-Expressionist and Neo-Geo movements. Known especially for his installations, sculptures, and visual arts, Bickerton pushes the boundaries between reality and artificiality. One of his most famous works is his large, colorful sculptural pieces that reflect images of fake identities and brands.
