Alev Ebüzziya Siesbye

Alev Ebüzziya Siesbye (born August 30, 1938, in Istanbul) is an internationally recognized ceramic artist. She studied sculpture at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts between 1956 and 1958 and participated in ceramic workshops at the Füreya Studio. Throughout her career, she worked at a ceramic factory in Höhr-Grenzhausen and at the Eczacıbaşı Art Workshop in Istanbul. In 1963, she began creating original designs for the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Factory in Copenhagen, and in 1969, she established her own studio. In 1987, she moved to Paris, where she continues her work. Her works are included in the collections of important museums such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Musée Bellerive in Zurich, the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York, and the State Art and Sculpture Museum in Ankara.
